A New Bus For The Ministry:
At the writing of this newsletter we are in the process of purchasing a large bus.
We’re calling it the Glory Bus. It has been heartbreaking when we’ve had to leave children behind. Now we can reach more children for Christ with the addition of this new bus. These children get so excited when we pick them up, it is the highlight of their week. We give them presents, take them for a meal and most importantly, we share Jesus Christ. When Jesus comes into their heart, he changes their life. What an indescribable blessing it is to see children come to Christ each week.
Investment With A guaranteed Return-
We know that many people have lost money with the recent drop in the stock market. Although there is no guarantee of success in this world, when we
invest in God’s work there is always a guaranteed return. This new bus is an investment into the lives of children.
It will enable us to pick up more children and expand our ministry outreach. We urgently need additional funds to continue our current programs and cover our increased expenses, such as insurance, before taking possession of this bus. Please pray about what the Lord would have you to give. “...store up for yourselves treasures in heaven...” (Matthew 6:19-21).
Change One Child’s Life...Change A Generation!
Sometimes we return home and weep after spending a day with these little ones.
Their life is so hard, and for many it is a life of hopelessness and despair without Christ. One young boy’s face lite up when he was told that he now had a Father who would always love him and be there for him. You see, he had just accepted Jesus into his heart and had never known who his real father was. Our intervention into a child’s life can have a profound and lasting effect. A kind word, a small gift, a little encouragement, a compliment, a listening ear...the love of Christ, these simple things are remembered and treasured.
Mission Impossible:
A few months ago we told you about a special little six year old boy whose mother was a drug addict. He asked us to pray for her to get off drugs.
Andrea and her boyfriend were career drug addicts who bought and sold drugs to support their destructive lifestyle. Even though Angels for Christ would minister to them many times as we would distribute food, they turned a deaf ear to God’s message. These were the kind of people that many would just write off as too far gone, too deep into sin. Yet, there was this small boy who seemed to have faith for the impossible.
One of the last times we saw them they complained about nothing ever working out for them. We showed them Deuteronomy 28 about the results of disobedience.
Shortly after that they were arrested when the police raided their motel room and found drugs. They ended up in jail. While in jail Andrea accepted Christ and was radically converted. We should never limit God!
The Fight Is On...!
No matter what we do to help rescue the children and those in need, there is a fight for their very souls.
The bible says that, “Satan goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.” We live in a world where the gospel is an offense to those who don’t believe. A drug addict who was just led to Christ was required by the state to go through a rehabilitation program where they were forbidden to mention the name of Jesus. The only hope for these people is Jesus, yet once they accept Christ the anti-God laws and regulations try to keep them from the one who is their only hope. We will not dilute the gospel message for man’s favor or the governments approval. Angels for Christ is committed to sharing the gospel message without apology or compromise.
Evangelism By Meeting Basic Needs!
We are currently distributing between 16 and 20 tons of food each month. Jesus set the example by feeding the multitudes before sharing the
gospel. He said if anyone is hungry...feed them. We are not just some ‘do good’ charity service.
It is our objective to be a lifeline of hope to rescue the perishing and point the way of salvation to those who are dying without the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord! “He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing. Therefore love the stranger...” Deut. 10:18-19
God’s Favor, New Frontiers, New Challenges:
Last month the Christian Times did a feature story on Angels for Christ and told of the work we doing.
God has given us great favor, yet there is so much more to be done. In April we started another new outreach ministry in West Orange County. We are thankful for those who have come forward to help us meet the growing needs in each community and continue the work of Angels for Christ. With each new opportunity God gives us, we see blessing upon blessing for those who get involved in God’s work. Get involved with Angels for Christ and you’ll find God’s blessing on your life.
Prayer of Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:10)
Thousands of believers have taken this little prayer to heart.
As we pray this prayer over every offering that comes in, we ask that you pray this prayer with us each day. Also, remember to include Angels for Christ in your donation of any unused car, truck, van, boat or motor home. Your tax deductible gift means so much and helps us expand the services of this ministry. Again, thank you for your continued support.
In His Service,
Don & Carol Ann Waisanen
