Thank You...Thank You...Thank You!
Heaven thanks you and we thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord this past holiday season. You gave unselfishly to provide for the needs
of so many children. We were able to give out over 1000 presents, plus food and clothing to those who needed it most. You should've seen the looks on some of those little faces when we handed them their presents.
Words cannot describe the delight in their eyes. It said, Jesus loves me!
In James 2 we read, "Has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and to be heirs of the kingdom which He
promised to those that love Him...thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, it is dead." We gave in Jesus name, and because you put your faith into action, you helped us make it possible.
"God Is Not Mocked"
Just three days before Christmas we had an outreach where a large crowd had gathered to hear the gospel message. There were teenagers who were being irreverent and began to mock
and scoff at what we were saying. At the end of the message, we lovingly but firmly delivered the Word. "Be not deceived, God is not mocked." It went like an arrow into their hearts. As the Holy Spirit
came upon them and touched them, the mocking spirits left, many came under conviction and gave their lives to the Lord. This is the power of the gospel. What a marvelous moment that was to see how the Lord can do
what we can't, change peoples hearts. "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world."
A Young Girls Prayer Answered:
At one of the Christmas outreaches we gave a pair of
roller shoes to a young girl. After presenting them to her she cried, "I can't believe they're even may size. They're just what I prayed for." I want to go back to my room and thank Jesus." There was
no way her mother could've afforded to buy them. She was struggling to feed and clothe three young children by herself, after recently recovering from years of addiction.
As Jesus wept over Jerusalem,
sometimes we find ourselves weeping over the lost. We see just how hard the circumstances are for some of these children. Many have very little chance at a decent life in their surroundings ...but Jesus. We truly
"sow in tears."
Crippled Girl Healed!
It is always amazing when we see Jesus answer prayer. A year ago there was a memorable moment when we prayed for a young girl who was bent over, her
body contorted with bones that seemed to stick out of her clothes. We saw her recently and couldn't believe how she had changed. No longer did she look crippled, she was straightened out and whole. Even though we
know that God hears and answers prayer, our faith is always lifted to new heights when you see the miraculous. We may never know till we get to heaven the lives we have touched.
Families Prayer Answered!
In our last newsletter we told you about the young couple who had committed their life to Christ and took all five of their children and dedicated them to the Lord. They had been living in a motel for over a
year, with no real prospect of ever getting a home of their own. After they accepted Jesus, doors began to open for them. Soon they were able to move into a single family home with a big back yard for the
children...just as we had prayed.
Highlights of Angels for Christ ministry in 2001:
Entertain Angels Unaware?
One of our volunteers was distributing food during an outreach, when she was confronted by a disheveled man in tattered clothes who she thought was
another homeless person. After handing him what she had, he then reached for her hand and placed something in it. He commented, "he loved what we were doing" and then disappeared into the crowd. She placed
what she thought was a note in her pocket and proceeded with her work. Afterward, she reached in her pocket to reveal its' contents. She was astounded to find a crisp twenty dollar bill. The bible says, "Be not
forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." (Heb. 13:2) This is not an isolated case; it has happened on many occasions. Angels are real and sent to help us.
We Replace Bad With Good!
So many of the people we minister to, especially the children, have had horrible memories of their life experiences. You've helped us replace these bad memories with good memories.
These positive experiences have had a profound effect on so many children. As we've said before, often these children cling to us and don't want us to leave. We know that Jesus has touched their lives.
Sponsors Needed -
We have been so encouraged by the letters and e-mails we've received from our Sunday morning radio program on KFSG 93.5 FM at 7:00 a.m. It truly is a blessing to be able to minister and
share the gospel through radio. We have been given an opportunity to produce a new one hour live Angels for Christ program and expand our program to other stations, but we need additional sponsorship to help
underwrite the cost. Please prayerfully consider becoming a sponsor.
Prayers for the year 2002:
We must not be discouraged by the evil we see in this world. The bible says, "As evil increases,
grace will abound." We have been seeking God for a special anointing of prayer so that we can truly pray without ceasing. Prayer produces power, the power of the Holy Spirit that will change our world.
Our goal is to see thousands of people come to the Savior this year through the ministry of Angels for Christ. God's blessing has been upon this ministry because this is fertile ground where His work is being
accomplished. We believe this promise of blessing (Gen. 30:27) extends to all who will join with us in ministering to the poor and needy.
In His Service,
